Introduction - The MiWSN Monitoring Service saves Mi-Sensor messages to a server database for viewing later in table or graphical format. Mi-Sensors can be assigned to zones and when an alarm occurs within a zone, the message will be forwarded to a list of email addresses specified by the user if the zone is enabled. This service uses secure communications, thus keeping all data transfers private. Mi-Gateways must include monitor@miwsn.com as a notify address for this service to process Mi-Sensor messages.

Login - This page securely logins you into the monitoring service. The first time the service is used, the user must create a new user account. Your user account name must be a valid email address that Mi-Gateways uses to send Mi-Sensor messages. If you forget your password, you may have a new password sent to the user email address. You will stay logged into the service until you logout, close your browser, or time out. It is recommended that you create a short cut to the login screen for quick access.

Status - The status page allows you to view saved messages from Mi-Sensors sent to the monitoring service by Mi-Gateways. You can view the most recent messages sent from each Mi-Sensor, all messages from a selected Mi-Sensor, or all messages sent from all Mi-Sensors. When viewing messages from a selected Mi-Sensor you may produce a graph of Motion, Temperature, Port, Battery, or RSSI values by selecting the column heading link.

Setup - The setup page allows you to change your password, specify your time zone offset, enter a list of email addresses that are notified when an enabled alarm occurs, and specify additional email body text sent with the alarm notification.

Zone - The zone page allows you to assign Mi-Sensors to zones and monitor Mi-Sensors for missed messages. If a Mi-Sensor has already sent a message to the service, its name will show up in this list. If the Mi-Sensor has not sent a message yet, you may add it to the list. You use the apply button to save any changes that are made. Mi-Sensors no longer sending messages may be deleted. The missed field is used to indicate if you wish to monitor for missed messages from a Mi-Sensor. A Mi-Sensor can be setup to report periodically, the monitoring service can check that this happens, thus verifying that the Mi-Sensor is sending periodically. If the missed field is set to 0, no checking for missed messages will be performed. If the missed field is set to a whole number of minutes, and no message is received within 3 times this number, a missed event will be created.

Enable - This page allows you to enable or disable the sending of alarms for Mi-Sensors assigned to zones. A history of the times at which enable or disabled occurred may be viewed.

Logout - This page logs you out from the monitoring service.
